Assemblers – Light Duty & Heavy Duty

LSI Staffing is hiring dependable, hardworking Light-Duty and Heavy-Duty Assemblers for a well-established metal manufacturing company in Kansas City, KS.

Our client specializes in metal fabrication, stamping, welding, machining, powder coating, and assembly. Their products support a variety of industries, including agriculture, construction, lawn and garden, refrigeration, and recreational vehicles.

We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Two opportunities are available:

1. Light-Duty Assemblers – $19.00–$20.00/hour

Responsibilities include:

• Assemble metal components and products according to work instructions.
• Perform light assembly tasks, including riveting.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Inspect parts and finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Follow production instructions and meet daily production goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

2. Heavy-Duty Assemblers / Production Workers ($20-$22/hr DOE) 

Responsibilities include:

• Assemble metal products and components according to specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
• Assist with positioning, aligning, and securing metal components.
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Support manufacturing and production operations.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Additional experience with metal fabrication, welding, or MIG welding is a plus.

Qualifications – What We're Looking For

• Manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred, but not required for entry-level assembly.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequent use of hands and arms to assemble and handle parts.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and twist as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Work Environment

• Large manufacturing facility.
• Facility is not climate controlled.
• Must be comfortable working in warmer temperatures during summer and colder temperatures during winter.
• Exposure to manufacturing equipment, machinery, and normal industrial noise.

Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: 1st Shift
• Hours: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Pay: $19.00–$20.00 per hour for Light Assembly or up to $22.00/hour for Heavy Assembly 
• Steel-toed boots are required.
• Safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves are provided.
• Must be able to provide personal hand tools where required for the assigned position.
